Former HE Space employee Andreas Mogensen flies to the ISS
Unforgotten, 1969: „One small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind“. Almost everyone on Earth knows the famous words spoken by Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon.
Only insiders, however, know that he shared his triumph with Scott Millican, the trainer who helped prepare the Apollo 11 crew to make John F. Kennedy´s visionary dream come true. After the Apollo program Millican´s company HE Space was involved in training programs for the shuttle teams and especially of the most famous European astronaut of those times, Ulf Merbold, the German space legend. Today, with the former HE Space-engineer Andreas Mogensen, the third astronaut is waiting for his lift off on September 2nd, 2015. His destination as astronaut of the European Space Agency ESA: The International Space Station.
