HE Space UK office awarded ISO 9001 certification
Every year the HE Space offices are audited for our ISO 9001 certification. This year was the first time for our new UK office. Jason Maroothynaden (Director HE Space Ltd) and Keith Muirhead (Managing Director HE Space BV) proudly hold the certificate.

New ISO 9001 certificate for HE Space office in UK
This year our UK office, based at the Science, Technology & Innovation Campus in Harwell and headed by Jason Maroothynaden, also received the ISO 9001 accreditation and has now been certified following the same standards as the HE Space Dutch and German offices.
Why is the ISO 9001 process for HE Space so important?
Jason Maroothynaden explains that “the UK office is essentially a newly established SME. We needed a recognised way to ‘badge’ HE Space in terms of our structured approach to quality, price and service. We need an effective way to enhance the confidence of our existing and potential customers.”
Throughout the company, there is no doubt that the tool of the certification process and regular audits are beneficial and help us to improve. Jason points out that “the structure of ISO gives us a mechanism to gain a clearer understanding of office performance in the context of the HE Space group of companies. Additionally, the ISO certification allows us to pursue contracts with those customers for whom certification is a contractual requirement.”
Raluca Popescu, member of the HE Space Quality Management team and responsible for the certification process, underlines this: “Quality is the driving force in creating and sustaining our attitude and way of doing business. It is used to measure us against our competitors and a means to differentiate ourselves. We are committed to achieving the standards of ISO 9001 and to continue improving the quality management system and service.”
