HE Space has joined forces with CS Group to lead the engineering and digital space market in Europe and to provide highly skilled consulting.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities              

As part of a dynamic department, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Driving ESA social responsibility policies and projects and fostering sustainability and environmental thinking within ESA;
  • Defining and monitoring an ESA Green Agenda, aiming to implement CSR principles, and coordinating its implementation through the relevant ESA Environmental Action Plan;
  • Coordinating a comprehensive assessment of the Agency’s environmental footprint;
  • Developing a Sustainability Strategy and ensuring its implementation in ESA activities and programmes;
  • Ensuring the participation and support of the Agency in the Statement for a Responsible Space Sector aimed at increasing the involvement of public and industrial stakeholders in order to achieve a more inclusive approach towards a sustainable space sector;
  • Preparing and executing, in collaboration with the Communication Department, an internal and external communication and awareness plan on climate and sustainability issues;

Skills & Experience

You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:

  • Masters degree in a relevant field; 
  • Be familiar with relevant methods and tools in the domain of competence
  • Keep abreast of market trends and to ensuring the maximum respect of generally accepted ethical rules of confidentiality, loyalty and impartiality, with a view of maintaining an objective and fruitful relationship with customers and suppliers;
  • Be capable of effective communication in the English and the French languages (both verbally and in writing); knowledge of another Member State language is an asset;
  • Apart from the specific technical requirements outlined in the Work Package description, the contractor personnel shall be familiar with the following office automation infrastructure (or shall be trained in it at no cost for the Agency) composed of:
  • ESA 365 tools (incl. Project and Visio)
  • Data analysis tools
