Key Tasks and Responsibilities

The following responsibilities are foreseen (not limited to):

• Proven experience with data processing (Level-0, Level-1 and Level-2) of meteorological and/or earth observation products from Satellites instruments;
• Proven experience in the integration, verification and validation (IV&V) of data processing systems and/or processors, including generation of test plan, test specification, procedures and test reports for end-toend processing chain;
• Knowledge of scripting languages and databases (e.g. Perl, Python, shell, PostgreSQL);
• Proven experience in CI/CD and automated testing;
• Proven experience in System Engineer development and system design;
• Demonstrated experience with UNIX/Linux operating systems;
• Ability to write accurate and consistent technical documentation;
• Practical knowledge in Configuration Control; • Knowledge in Computer systems, Network systems and IT Security.

Qualifications

Mandatory skills and relevant experience in :

• University degree in a relevant engineering field, Aerospace or telecommunications
• software development (full lifecycle); and system engineering; and ground segment and sub-segment level IV&V for Earth Observation missions
• Very good technical writing skills, in particular in the area of formal technical documentation (e.g. requirements specification and design documentation, test plans and procedures, maintenance procedures);
• Source code control systems (e.g. Subversion, Git);
• Software anomalies analysis, debugging, profiling, fixing and processing.
