Key Tasks and Responsibilities              

As part of the Galileo Operations team at DLR GfR, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the Operations Database Development;
  • Population of the operations database according to Database change requests;
  • Validation of the Database Change Requests (DCRs) implementation in the SCCF;
  • Debugging and correction of the operational database;
  • ODB installation and activation on SCCF;
  • Participation in the ODB CRBs;
  • Participation in the SRDB acceptance process chaired by ESA (SRDB DRBs);
  • PoC for MOIS;
  • Anomaly Investigation and report generation, validation of fixes;
  • Execution and debugging of the Flight Operations Procedures (FOP) Release Process;
  • PoC for the Multi-Site Sync Operations Preparation Facility (MSS OPF);
  • Participation in the Flight Control Team Meetings including but not limited to OPS workshops;
  • Maintenance of the Operations Product Configuration List;

Skills & Experience

You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in telecommunications, aerospace engineering, informatics or equivalent;
  • Experience with programming/scripting languages (Python, VBA, SQL)
  • Experience in operations database population, maintenance, debugging and analysis
  • Experience in Spacecraft Operations
  • Experience in Operations Procedure Preparation
  • Experience in Spacecraft Operations Execution (e.g. Spacon)
  • Knowledge of Relational Database and SQL
  • Experience with SCOS 2000 and MOIS would be an advantage
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
