Key Tasks and Responsibilities                 

As a member of a team providing services to a UK Prime, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Support in the concept creation for software changes and new development implementation based on the project context and applicable document (Development Plan, System Requirements Specification, Architecture Design Document, Validation Plan, Verification Plan, …);
  • Responsible for the test plan and test procedure creation endorsing the fact that these are complete, consistent and adequate w.r.t. Requirement Baseline and Test Specification;
  • Responsible for the test scripts execution, effectively log and manage defects following the internal process;
  • Provide clear test execution reporting with the results/outcomes of executions to the Development responsible;
  • Participation in the creation of unit & (sub) system integration tests and hardware/software integration tests;
  • Participation in the implementation of automation and management tools.

Skills & Experience

You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:

  • Minimum of Bachelors degree in computer science, aerospace or similar relevant area of expertise;
  • Proficient in software design and test in a resource constrained/embedded environment using C or C++/java;
  • Proficient in design, development and integration on linux environment with the ability to think systems-based;
  • Experience of software integration, performance test and debug at the hardware level when dealing with complex systems;
  • Experience in requirements analysis and corresponding realization/implementation;
  • Knowledge of software development tools such as VSCode, Eclipse, JIRA, git, Jenkins;
  • Ideally experience in Space/On board Software environment and associated process;
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
