Barbara works in the space sector since 2002. She started as communication and education officer in the Human Spaceflight directorate at ESA/ESTEC. Later she joined HE Space as recruiter and communication officer.
In her current job Barbara co-ordinates the marketing and communication for HE Space. She was on the Board of Women in Aerospace (WIA) Europe up to June 2012. From 2012 to 2021 she was on the Board of the Netherlands Space Society.
